SKU BLD020 Category Dispersion Blades
$426.00
0/5

A high shear design accererates product through a series of rings to produce very fine grinds with laminar flow and less heat build-up. Also, excellent for emulsification when operated at low speeds.

As with all our blades it can be bored to fit any of the popular dispersers, including; Myers, Cowles, Hockmeyer, Schold, Shar, etc.

The 'D' blade or "Ring" blade, consists of a series of contoured rings.  Centrifugal force aided by a series of vertical tabs drive material through gaps between adjacent rings.  Material accelerates between the rings and is discharged into the low-pressure area outside the rings.  The resulting velocity differential creates the shear forces that break the agglomerates and disperse the products.  Ring blades are typically run at higher tip speeds than conventional blades, 5000-6000 fpm.  Besides de-agglomeration and dispersion, the ring blade is suitable for many emulsifying operations.

As with all our blades, it can be bored to fit any of the popular dispersers, including; Myers, Cowles, Hockmeyer, Schold, Shar, etc.
