Agitators

Agitators

Agitators are essential equipment for any facility that needs efficient mixing, blending, suspension, or homogenization of liquids, slurries, or chemical solutions. They ensure uniformity, promote chemical reactions, support heat transfer, and keep stored liquids in a homogeneous state — crucial for consistent quality across batches.

Our agitators are designed for heavy-duty industrial use, offering robust construction, reliable performance, and a variety of configurations — from simple storage-tank agitation to demanding process mixing in high-viscosity or multiphase systems.

Types of Agitators Available

  • Baseplate Mounted Direct-Drive Mixers — straightforward, durable mixers for reliable agitation in tanks.
  • Baseplate Mounted Gear-Drive Mixers — for applications requiring higher torque or slower speeds, often used with viscous materials.
  • Flange Mounted Direct-Drive Mixers — ideal for fixed tanks or reactors where space and mounting configuration matter.
  • Flange Mounted Gear-Drive Mixers — offering strength and torque for demanding processes in chemical or polymer mixing.
  • Turbine & High-Efficiency Agitators (e.g. “Series G”, “Series L”, “Series N” Turbine Agitators) — suited for blending, dispersion, and liquid–liquid mixing with strong flow and mixing efficiency.
  • These configurations let you select the right agitator based on tank design, fluid viscosity, mixing goals (e.g. suspension, blending, heat transfer), and process demands.

Selecting the proper agitator depends on several factors:

  • Tank geometry & mounting requirements — whether baseplate- or flange-mounted, clearance, and tank-opening orientation.
  • Fluid viscosity — low-viscosity fluids may work with direct-drive mixers or turbine agitators; high viscosity or pasty media may require gear-drive or heavy-duty agitators.
  • Mixing objective — simple blending and storage vs. aggressive dispersion, suspension, or gas/liquid mixing.
  • Material compatibility & durability — for chemical, corrosive, or abrasive media, choose agitators with suitable construction and shaft/seal design.
