DisperseTech, LLC

Dispersetech manufactures a wide selection of quality high speed dispersion blades. These mixing blades find uses in many chemical processing industries including: paint, coatings, adhesives, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, etc. Standard blades are constructed of 304 stainless steel, but other metals are available on request. In order to improve wear characteristics, we offer heat hardening as well as various ceramic coatings. Our blades can be bored to fit any of the common dispersers including; Myers, Cowles, Hockmeyer, Schold, Schar, etc. Our selection includes the Sawtooth blade, the workhorse in the industry as well as more exotic configurations.

Ring Blade - BLD

Ring Blade

A high shear design accererates product through a series of rings to produce very fine grinds with laminar flow and less heat build-up. Also, excellent for emulsification when operated at low speeds. As with all our blades it can be bored to fit any of the popular dispersers, including; Myers, Cowles, Hockmeyer, Schold, Shar, etc.

DisperseTech - Split Blade - OPT-SPLIT - 1

Split Blade

Disperser Blades can be split, cut in two pieces, to allow large blades to fit in smaller tank openings, or to allow installation when obstacles are present.

DisperseTech - IT Dispersion Blade - BLQ - 2

IT Dispersion Blade

Conn IT (Intensive Type), Style Q, for agitation; Positive but gentle material flow; Low shear smooth fast mixing without air inclusion. This dispersion blade has vents or louvers used to introduce additional pumping action. Please note SIZE is not the measured diameter.  See table below for diameters.

DisperseTech - Welded Hub - Shown with an L Blade

Welded Hub

Hubs are used to add a second disperser blade above the primary blade. They can also be used to add a blade to the end of a shaft that is not configured to mount a standard disperser blade. The welded hub is an integral part of the blade and must be replaced as blades are replaced. THIS IS AN OPTION FOR OUR LAB BLADES.  Best to visit disperser blade selection, and add the hub to the blade of your choice.

DisperseTech - ITC Dispersion Blade - BLS - 2

ITC Dispersion Blade

he Conn ITC, Style S, has large pitched teeth on the preiphery of the disk. The large surface area of these teeth provide a high degree of pumping. Recommended for dispersing fiberous additives and fillers. While this dispersion blade does not have louvers as with the othe rconn blades it produces axial flow with its angled teeth.

DisperseTech - Constant Shear Impeller - BLC - 2

Constant Shear Impeller

The CSI is a unique tool for high speed dispersion and emulsification. It produces finer grind in less time with less heat build up, less power consumption and less wear than any other impeller. As with all our blades it can be bored to fit any of the popular dispersers, including; Myers, Cowles, Hockmeyer, Schold, Shar, etc.

DisperseTech - Taper Plates - TP - 3

Taper Plates

With the speed of the dispersion blades, typically, a set of tapered reinforcing plates is required on most dispersers to prevent blade flexing. These plates can be fit with the driving pins for blades with pinholes. As with all our blades it can be bored to fit any of the popular dispersers, including; Myers, Cowles, Hockmeyer, Schold, Shar, etc.

DisperseTech - ITT Dispersion Blade - BLR - 2

ITT Dispersion Blade

The Conn ITT (Intensive Type with Teeth), Type R, for high shear and agitation; Good material movement; Useful where high shear is required for a rapid and smooth blend or when high shear is not required but is not detrimental. This dispersion blade has vents or louvers used to introduce additional pumping action. Please note SIZE is not the actual blade diameter.  See table below for measurement

DisperseTech - F Style Sawtooth Dispersion Blade - BLF - 7

F-Blade | Sawtooth Dispersion Blade

The F Style Sawtooth high shear disperser blade is the most popular and versatile dispersion impeller. This is the number one choice for paint mixing blades. The uniform teeth help to accelerate pigment particles and break up agglomerates. This high shear mixing blade is complemented by turbulent flow throughout the bulk of the batch. Standard blades are made from stainless steel. Other materials are available. A large range of blade sizes is available to meet your batch requirements.

Large Diameter Shaft adapter

Lab Shaft Adapters

Lab Shaft Adapters for DisperseTech Lab Shafts.  DisperseTech lab shafts are machine to either 1/4" or 1/2" diameter, and include a shoulder.  These adapters provide a secure mounting point on the shafts and allows 1/2" bore blades to be used on the smaller diameter shafts.

DisperseTech - Poly ITT Blade - BLN - 1

Poly ITT Blade

The UHMW version of the ITT Blade. It has good material movement; Good combination where high shear is required for a rapid and smooth blend or when high shear is not required but is not detrimental.

Shaft Stock shown with blades (not included)

Stainless Steel Shaft Stock

304 S/S shaft stock, ground and polished, can be used with any propeller or blade that mounts to a shaft with set screws.  Can be used with drill chuck or couplings.

DisperseTech - 28" Poly Blade - BLP - 1

Poly Blade

The Polyblade is manufactured from Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMP) for superior wear.  Effective in highly abrasive applications with no metal contamination. May be turned over for added life and performance.  Acceptable for batch temperatures up to 180° F.  Other non-standard formulations can reach up to 230° F.

DisperseTech - Pick Blade - BLI - 3

Pick Blade

Recommended for cutting in or shredding rubber, wax and other soft materials that tend to gum up on standard impellers. Unique tooth design features a knife, or pick, extending out from the blade, alternating with vertical teeth. Use extreme caution when handling this blade!

DisperseTech - H Style Hi-Vane Dispersion Blade - BLH - 1

H Style Hi-Vane Dispersion Blade

Hi-Vane Pumper impellers fill the intermediate range between low-speed and high-speed mixing. High-volume pumping action and radial flow promote better blending, while low shear minimizes temperature rise. The H Style, Type 2 blade will disperse pigments or flatting agents rapidly in high viscosity or thixotropic systems with minimum heat generation.

DisperseTech - L Blade - BLL - 2

L Blade

The lab blade is formed with teeth nearly tangential to the outer edge of the blade. Originally designed for ease of fabrication, this blade has found favor due to it's low pumping resulting from the tooth angle. The blade was originally sold as a laboratory K blade. The lab blade is supplied only in smaller sizes with a 1/2" bore sand keyway standard.

DisperseTech - Modified Marine Propeller - PS3 - 2

Modified Marine Propeller

The modified marine propeller will produce an axial flow discharge with low shear characteristics. This propeller is widely used on portable, top entering and side entering mixers.

DisperseTech - Urethane Blade - BLO - 1

Urethane Blade

Urethane blades can be used in situation where metal contamination is an issue.
