The ROTO series are presently the bestselling solvent recovery systems in the industry. The Roto recovers washing solvent and treats ink residues in a cylindrical distillation boiler that features an electrically heated double jacket filled with thermal oil. The unit is designed for batch operation and continuous operation. High-boiling solvents can be distilled with the available vacuum technology. An agitator/scraper system rotating slowly in the boiler permanently stirs the contents, keeps the heating surfaces clean to ensure an optimum heat transfer and, at the end of distillation, automatically discharges the residue through the open discharge valve at the bottom of the boiler. With the type-examined agitator/scraper system and other safety-related details, the unit meets ATEX requirements

ROTO features the following major technical advantages:

Scraper Blades: The special hardened bronze blades do not come in contact with the walls, so no wear occurs, and no adjustment of the blades is necessary. The blades actually scrape off the solids, allowing an insignificant buildup of sludge. The main advantage is that the scraper blades are virtually maintenance free. The ROTO does not even offer a man way to enter the confined space. In the unlikely case of an internal problem, the entire lid of the ROTO can be easily removed and the boiler can be safely accessed from the top.

Flat Bottom: The flat bottom design has the advantage that the blades will actually push the sludge towards the sludge removal port. Our system no longer depends on the gravity to remove the sludge. We take advantage of our scraper blades and no manual poking is necessary, to make the sludge flow out of the vessel. In your special case this is an important feature.
