The F Style Sawtooth high shear disperser blade is the most popular and versatile dispersion impeller. This is the number one choice for paint mixing blades. The uniform teeth help to accelerate pigment particles and break up agglomerates. This high shear mixing blade is complemented by turbulent flow throughout the bulk of the batch. Standard blades are made from stainless steel. Other materials are available. A large range of blade sizes is available to meet your batch requirements.

Referred to as the Hockmeyer Blade as it is the standard blade design used on Hockmeyer dispersers. The F Style High Shear Mixing Blade is the most popular and versatile dispersion impeller. This Sawtooth blade is typically operated at a tip speed of 4000 - 6000 feet per minute. The impeller creates a laminar flow region around the blade. Shear forces tear agglomerates apart by velocity gradients of adjacent flow layers. The uniform teeth help to accelerate pigment particles and break up agglomerates. This high shear is complemented by turbulent flow throughout the bulk of the batch.

This blade can be bored to fit any of the popular mixers, including; Myers Mixers, Cowles Dispersers, Hockmeyer, Schold, Shar, etc. Other designations for this blade include Type 6 and Design B. A popular production blade, this blade is also manufactured in a wide size range and is a very common lab mixer blade.
