Dispersetech manufactures a wide selection of quality high speed dispersion blades. These mixing blades find uses in many chemical processing industries including: paint, coatings, adhesives, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, etc. Standard blades are constructed of 304 stainless steel, but other metals are available on request. In order to improve wear characteristics, we offer heat hardening as well as various ceramic coatings. Our blades can be bored to fit any of the common dispersers including; Myers, Cowles, Hockmeyer, Schold, Schar, etc. Our selection includes the Sawtooth blade, the workhorse in the industry as well as more exotic configurations.

DisperseTech - Bolted Hub - HB - 1

Bolted Disperser Blade Hub

Hubs are used to add a second disperser blade above the primary blade. They can also be used to add a blade to the end of a shaft that is not configured to mount a standard disperser blade, such as shaft stock.   The bolted hub is separate from the blade and can be re-used, allowing future blades to be secured much as you would with a standard disperser.

The curved blade turbine, CBT, impeller produces a radial flow pattern with less shear and power consumption than a vertical flat blade turbine. It is used in applications such as heat transfer, high solids contents, or low liquid levels.

Disperser Floating Lid

Reduce fumes and vapors leaving your dispersion tank. Keep foreign material from falling in your batches. Avoid lifting large heavy lids onto your tanks. The Floating Lid assembly is mounted to your high speed disperser. Guide rods raise the lid to allow tanks to be placed under your mixer and hold the lid when no tank is in place. Lid can be used with different height tanks.

The E-Blade also know as the Cutter Blade because of its superiority for dissolving resins. The E-Blade or Type-3 dispersion blade utilized for high vehicle viscosities and/or solids loadings. This dispersion blade produces shear but with more turbulence than other designs. Unlike most standard designs the teeth vary in size and angle.

The F Style Sawtooth high shear disperser blade is the most popular and versatile dispersion impeller. This is the number one choice for paint mixing blades. The uniform teeth help to accelerate pigment particles and break up agglomerates. This high shear mixing blade is complemented by turbulent flow throughout the bulk of the batch. Standard blades are made from stainless steel. Other materials are available. A large range of blade sizes is available to meet your batch requirements.

The vertical flat blade impeller, FBT, is a radial flow design used widely in low liquid levels or high shear applications with high power consumption than axial flow impellers. Four and six-blade designs are available.

SOLD in 55 pound containers Our Glass Beads are durable solid glass mill beads. This lead-free glass media is chemically inert, and provide the cleanest dispersions available. One of the most popular medias and represent the "Industry Standard" in glass mill beads. This Glass media has a Moh's Hardness of 6.  Specific Gravity is 2.5.

Hi-Vane Pumper impellers fill the intermediate range between low-speed and high-speed mixing. High-volume pumping action and radial flow promote better blending, while low shear minimizes temperature rise. The H Style, Type 2 blade will disperse pigments or flatting agents rapidly in high viscosity or thixotropic systems with minimum heat generation.

HS Blade

The HS series dispersion blade is a variation of the standard saw tooth blade.  It is often referred  to as a Cowles blade.  Like the F Blade, it features alternating teeth.  It can be used in the manufacturing of adhesives, clay slurries, ink, paint, paper coatings and numerous other products.

The HSX series, Turbo blade is similar to the HS series but has serrated teeth that will help with heavier grinds. The serrated teeth have more cutting surfaces to help speed up the dispersion process of high solids batches. With the same proven design as the HS series blade, the Turbo blade with serrated teeth will help reduce your grind time.

The HSXP series, Turbo Pump blade has the same serrated teeth as the HSX series and also includes alternating fins in the center of the impeller to help pump the material through the blade. he Conn ITC, Style S, has large pitched teeth on the preiphery of the disk. The large surface area of these teeth provide a high degree of pumping. Recommended for dispersing fiberous additives and fillers. While this dispersion blade does not have louvers as with the othe rconn blades it produces axial flow with its angled teeth.

DisperseTech - L Blade - BLL - 2

L Blade

The lab blade is formed with teeth nearly tangential to the outer edge of the blade. Originally designed for ease of fabrication, this blade has found favor due to it's low pumping resulting from the tooth angle. The blade was originally sold as a laboratory K blade. The lab blade is supplied only in smaller sizes with a 1/2" bore sand keyway standard.

Lab Shaft Adapters for DisperseTech Lab Shafts.  DisperseTech lab shafts are machine to either 1/4" or 1/2" diameter, and include a shoulder.  These adapters provide a secure mounting point on the shafts and allows 1/2" bore blades to be used on the smaller diameter shafts.

The PMP series impellers are designed primarily for blending, mixing and general agitation. The PMP series blade is designed similar to a fan blade so that your batch is moved around the tank with minimal shear. If you are looking for general agitation or blending of liquids, the PMP is the right choice.

The Polyblade is manufactured from Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMP) for superior wear.  Effective in highly abrasive applications with no metal contamination. May be turned over for added life and performance.  Acceptable for batch temperatures up to 180° F.  Other non-standard formulations can reach up to 230° F.

We can assist you in modifying your shaft length.  Shaft extensions are designed to extend your shaft and move impeller closer to the bottom of the tank.  Care must be taken not to cause critical speed issues.

Lab Dispersion Shafts are designed for chucks mounting or are for use with lab air motors with sleeve attachments. The shaft is supplied with an adaptor for blades with a 1/2" center bore. Shafts over 1/2" diameter are machined to for use with a 1/2" chuck.  WARNING: Shaft may bend if blade is not immersed in fluid when mixer is turned on.

These plates can be fit with the driving pins for blades with pinholes. Hubs are used to add a second disperser blade above the primary blade. They can also be used to add a blade to the end of a shaft that is not configured to mount a standard disperser blade. The welded hub is an integral part of the blade and must be replaced as blades are replaced. THIS IS AN OPTION FOR OUR LAB BLADES.  Best to visit disperser blade selection, and add the hub to the blade of your choice.
